University of Copenhagen πŸŽ“

We had a scheduled visit at the University of Copenhagen this morning. It was another sunny, beautiful day, as you can see from the clear blue sky in this picture of one of the main university buildings.

One of the Sociology professors from the University of Denmark had prepared a special presentation for our group, to help us understand the historical background of the Danish welfare state (and to help Americans understand why Denmark is the best country in the world, and can't be easily replicated). Some of the students in our group just graduated from La Roche last week, and didn't realize that they would be sitting though another three hour lecture so soon after they were done with college classes!

Azlan presented the speaker with a small gift....a miniature La Roche baseball bat to commemorate  the Redhawks winning season this spring.

Our tour guide, Marieke, also presented the speaker with a few items from her native country of Holland.
